your needs. Model
from a fin part
drwg, envelope from

and/or fin part

forging models after
simulation results
have been reported
back to us. Build
preform, fin, blk,
bust, calibration,
trim tooling die
models and mfg
models. All drwgs
both 2D and 3D can
be supplied.
Inspection
comparisons from
drwg to 3D
geometry. Reverse
engineering and
laser scanning of
old tooling and
parts is available.
B) New Material –
Sfp can supply new
die steel, 4140,
4340, FX2, Exell
Forge Die, 2714,
H-13, Inco 718,
Waspalloy and all
hot and cold work
steels.
C) Salvage Material
– Sfp can make use
of your out of
service dies and
tooling. Whether by
area welding, saw
cutting and resizing
to make ‘as new’
tooling for your
upcoming projects.
We also have an on
site inventory of
square and round
dies that can be
purchased as for a
significant savings.
D) Machining &
Turning – Sfp has a
vast array of
vertical and
horizontal, both
conventional and
high speed CNC
machining and CNC
turning. A full
service machine shop
internally to take
care of all
drilling, tapping,
edm burning,
polishing and
turning. Our limits
exceed 75,000# on
the vertical and
horizontal
machining. We can
swing up to 40” dia
x 218” long between
chuck and tail stock
for our turning
department. We have
the capability and
experience in
machining a full
range square and
round dies,
secondary tooling,
open and close
framed tooling,
hammer, upsetter,
mechanical press,
hydraulic press and
ring mill parts,
rough and finish
machining forgings
(piece mail), and
production parts
included.
E) Welding – Sfp has
a dedicated welding
department, with MIG
welding welders, pre
heat, post heat and
stress relieve
furnace capability
24/7. All alloys
are welcome,
including all
standard tool steel,
die steel
equivalents, hard
face welds,
stellite, inco 718,
waspalloy and
hastelloy for open
frame, ring mill and
engine part
production
facilities.
F) Ancillary
tooling, fixtures,
die set & Assemblies
– Sfp can mfg any
and all support
tooling, die sets,
trim sets, bolster
plates, fixture
plates for
machining,
calibration, all
assemblies complete,
per customer
specification and
need.
G) Inspection – Sfp
can supply cmm faro
arm inspections,
visual inspections
of all parts and
full assemblies.
Also, plaster casts
can be made for
refit of trimmers,
as well as cast
layout inspections.
